For what I paid, I really had no complaints. It’s a simple, clean, functional place, with a pool I didn’t get around to using. Some quiet work was going on, presumably connected to the owners’ plans to expand the facilities. I spent one night in a two-bed room. There was just enough space for the beds and a cushioned nightstand beside each one, which might even have doubled as a seat. The mattress felt soft by Thai and Asian standards, but I slept comfortably. The sliding door didn’t seal completely, so a few mosquitoes got in, though none bothered me overnight. The bathroom was outside the room and shared with other dorm rooms. It was basic but clean and usable, with a few toiletries. The common area had, I think, two washbasins and a kitchenette with a microwave, plates and cutlery. Parking looked big enough for about four cars.

Good value, and an easy walk from the airport. There’s a decent-sized locker, cheap laundry and a handy pool. The owner was really helpful and keen to assist. The one drawback, as with any hostel, is you can’t pick your roommates.

The room was filthy, with dust all over and stains on the bed. It seemed like it hadn’t been properly cleaned in ages, and the bathroom smelled awful and felt unhygienic. At night, noise came straight through the very thin walls and kept me from sleeping. The staff were unfriendly and unhelpful, and didn’t seem to care about guests. I was also uneasy about safety because there didn’t seem to be proper security or management. For the money, it was absolutely not worth it. A deeply disappointing stay, and I strongly recommend choosing somewhere else.

The host was incredibly kind, and the city is peaceful. It’s also close to both the center and the night market. Easily the best hostel I’ve stayed at in Thailand.

Only a few minutes on foot from UBP airport. The hostel was clean, quiet and spacious, and the owner was great.
