There’s a food court with lots of vendors and seats nearby, plus a 7/11 about a five-minute walk away. The nightlife area takes around 20 minutes on foot, so it’s reachable but the place stays quiet. For under £10 a night, Chanathinat Place is a strong budget choice, with large rooms, a full-size fridge, reliable WiFi, and unexpectedly soft, good-quality towels. At check-in the room was too warm because the AC needed cleaning, the toilet was broken, and water pressure was poor. The staff sorted each problem right away and even gave me a free night for the trouble, which is unusually good service for a budget stay. It’s not five-star luxury, but it’s clean, spacious, and well run. I’d happily recommend it.

The room photos on Agoda showed a TV, fridge, microwave, and kettle, but the TV didn’t work and there was no microwave or kettle. When I pointed out the pictures to the staff member, he said he knew the TV was broken and wouldn’t replace it. He also denied there was a microwave or kettle, even after I showed him the listing photos again. I reached the hotel around 12:30 pm, but they made me wait until 2:00 pm to check in, although the rooms were already cleaned. My room was on the third floor and there was no lift. I contacted Agoda to say I wouldn’t stay and wanted a refund. They were understanding and credited my account with Agoda cash. This place is a joke, the photos don’t match the actual room.

The room was cheap and clean, and the area was alright, but the Agoda photos didn’t match the room and the WiFi was basically unusable. Update: at 1:45 AM, there was loud laundry running behind my wall. Great.

A quiet area and very cheap, with plenty of shops nearby for food and other things. The room was a bit old, there’s no elevator, and the WiFi was really bad, but that was fine for me. I’d recommend it for cheap travel.

There are plenty of Thai restaurants around, though the hotel is a few kilometers from the center. For the price, you get a large room with a fridge, TV, toilet, hot shower, and a small balcony. Good value for anyone on a budget.
