Intara Resort

I used to stay here often, but the mattress is my main complaint. It has a vinyl plastic cover with only a thin sheet over it and no padding in between, so sleeping on it feels like sleeping on plastic. It's really uncomfortable, and this kind of mattress should be forbidden. The dogs in the narrow soi are another issue. Also, walking here from Central Plaza isn't practical, so you'll need transportation.

There are bikes to ride around the compound and WiFi, both free, plus swings the kids enjoy. There's a little bar by the pond, and you'll see rabbits, chickens, a donkey, iguanas, and a crocodile kept in a cage. The place is open, convenient, and clean, with big bathrooms. It's always full, and mosquitoes can be a problem.

A quiet place to unwind. The room was clean, the air was clean, and I slept well.

Inthara Resort is good value, with fairly new rooms where everything works. It's a couple of kilometers from the CBD, so having a car is best. In most Western countries, I'd call it a motel or motor inn. There's a garden with swings, bicycles, and a few farm animals that kids like.
