Getting in took a quick phone call because the office was closed when I arrived, and then I was all set for a two-night stay. It’s worth calling ahead since there might not be rooms available. The room was large, clean, comfortable, and didn’t smell of smoke. You can walk about half a mile to the night market and nightlife, while staying in a quiet area. Definitely worth the stay.

It’s an older building and clearly needs renovation, though that didn’t bother us. We stayed for two nights, and the large, clean room had a comfortable bed, a small kitchenette, and a balcony. Markets, 7eleven, and the Central are about a ten-minute walk away. The water heater wasn’t working, so there was no hot water in the bathroom. Motorcycles roar by day and night, so noise sensitive people may struggle, though it didn’t bother us. Fine for a night or two, with the essentials within walking distance. 🤘

All the rooms in this large apartment have air conditioning, and the amenities are a short walk away.

I booked and paid for a standard room through Agoda, but when we arrived they said the rooms were full. We saw fewer than 10 cars parked both that evening and the next morning, so it seemed unlikely to us that the place was full. The host said the reservation SMS hadn’t alerted them and asked if that was our fault. They had a housekeeper prepare a room in a large old wooden house for us to use when we came back, but the whole exchange made it feel as if they knew we wouldn’t be able to stay as booked, even though an apartment might have been available. There were only two of us, but they sent us to a big wooden house beside a storage room. It seemed like an old dormitory, with two bedrooms, old doors, and a mattress laid on a room’s floorboards that looked as though they might rot through. The place was quite old, repainted, and felt haunted. The Wi-Fi was strong and the air conditioning cool, but I wouldn’t recommend this arrangement if you’re sent there as one or two guests.
