Gecko Villa is in a wonderful spot if you're after real rural quiet and no tourists. We loved staying there, and the food was first class, easily the best in Thailand. Still, the villa is getting tired and could use a refurb, with better room service too. At those top prices, the finish and presentation don't feel five-star, so I can't give it five.

Mr. Ten made sure I was comfortable and that my stay felt distinctive and up to a high standard. The service from him and Gecko villa was better than anything I've had at a big hotel chain, or another private hotel, resort, or Airbnb type place. I'd return without a second thought. Couples or families should definitely consider it. If I could, I'd give it 99.9 stars. Don't hesitate to stay at the Gecko Villa.

The food was outstanding and suited everyone's tastes, and I really enjoyed the pool and peaceful surroundings. Mr Ten was an awesome host, the house was great, and we had a perfect stay. Thank you!
