Four years later, in 2024, it looked as though the resort had closed. Sad. When we stayed for one night in 2020, though, it was a nice place. The owner was very kind, and the remote location was great. It was wonderfully quiet at night, perhaps because it was a weekday and the resort was empty. I can’t say what weekends are like. Breakfast was good, and the owner washed the vegetables four times and cooked each breakfast separately. The large grounds were great for walking and relaxing. Take time to cross the hanging bridge, it’s quite exciting.

A good resort.

The owner was friendly and welcoming, and breakfast was rice porridge with fresh mushrooms and bouncy pork, plus toast. Our stay was at Darika's house, next to Somchai's, and the price had been reduced to 1,300 THB. Unfortunately, there were cleanliness issues. The room was cute but not very clean: large spiders and lots of dead insects were on the mosquito net, gecko droppings were behind the microwave, and what looked like moldy potato chips were in the bedside table drawer. Empty beer and soda bottles had also been left on the balcony. Each person got just one towel, and it wasn’t very absorbent. Guests played loud music, and we could hear the bass in our room even with the windows shut. The place would be better if they paid more attention to cleaning.

There are several places to sit and eat, including the garden, riverside, and shady spots under the trees. The food was average, and the staff provided good service. It seems suitable for group seminars, and the resort has a nice atmosphere, though the entrance road is a bit rough. The public bathroom was unusable, with an open roof and cracked walls. The bathrooms inside the rooms were good.

Each house has its own beautiful style, and the whole place is very clean. Even my mother complimented the cleanliness. The breakfast was the best in Wang Nam Khiao. It’s a great spot to unwind, with lovely views, a nice pond in the middle, and owners with excellent taste who are lovely people. Dogs are allowed, there’s a BBQ grill, and camping is permitted too.
