Khudzhand Delyuks

The front desk guy really seemed to care about making sure my stay went well. The hotel itself was fine, the breakfast was so-so, and the rooms were nothing special. There were lots of hairs left from a previous guest or staff. They offer laundry, which is useful since there are no laundromats in Tajikistan as of 2025, but it’s very expensive, even by USA prices.

There was a strong sewage smell both inside and outside the hotel. The rooms looked clean on the surface. Reception was rude and unhelpful, and couldn’t communicate with English speaking guests. The lift is tiny.

Ruslan, the manager on duty, was exceptionally kind and attentive. He helped me get settled, find my way around the city, and call a taxi for my morning flight. My room was clean, stocked with water and towels, and had a comfortable bed and a balcony with a beautiful city view. I stayed one night while traveling from Tashkent to Dushanbe. The hotel is in a peaceful part of Khujand, yet the river, downtown, and several restaurants are all within walking distance. I’d highly recommend it to other travelers.

Breakfast was good, with enough choices for a day or two, though the menu gets repetitive after that. The rooms were clean but looked old. At check-in, the administration took 10 mins and several phone calls to locate our reservation. I initially had no hot water and had to turn it on myself. It only came through in the evening.
