Atauro Dive Resort

The diving was the highlight, with some really unusual dives. Jango, the main dive master, was flexible and happy to adapt while guiding two experienced divers. The lodge was basic, as expected, but had what we needed for a good night's sleep. Even the rooster let us know morning was coming, then stopped. The owners have built a welcoming place with a nice team, and dinner was always good. We had a great stay, would recommend it, and will be back for world class diving.

The diving just off the house reef, a short swim away, was sublime, and the local dive guide was the best. Morning dives are the ones to prioritize, then snorkel or relax in the afternoon unless you have a bike or tuk tuk. The equipment was well maintained, the staff friendly, and the diving was fabulous, world class, mind blowing. Vollker the owner was quite a character, and I really liked him. The beach huts are simple, and breakfast was good.

I had such a peaceful, beautiful stay, and the staff were the best. I didn't even dive and still had an amazing time. The hammocks were shady, and the food was delicious. Saffy will make sure you have the trip of a lifetime.

We made 18 amazing scuba dives at reefs with the highest level of biodiversity in the world, and the staff were fantastic both above and below the waves. Those quiet oceanfront bungalows were a gem, and we loved every minute of the delicious family style meals too. I can't wait to come back!
