Golgota Hotel & Resort

The room was big, bright, clean, and comfortable. The staff are very friendly, and there’s a swimming pool and gym at the hotel.

The front desk Zacarias was patient with us throughout our stay, and Ms Ava, the Admin manager, came by our rooms several times to make sure everything was working well. The Admin was very helpful during check-in, and when there was a mix-up with the number of rooms booked, they sorted it out amicably. Staff were always ready to help carry our luggage. Excellent service.

The coffee at breakfast just isn’t hot enough. It seems to be a known issue, and bringing the carafe contents to boiling point shouldn’t be too hard. Apart from that, breakfast was good, and I’d happily stay again. I was there for seven nights and was impressed that my laundry came back by 4 pm each day. Washing and ironing are free if you stay more than three nights. The rooms are kept very clean, and the pool is beautiful and clean, perfect for cooling off in the afternoon. This hotel wasn’t here when I visited Dili in 2013. The Chinese have since built a beautiful hotel, staffed by local Timor Leste staff who are friendly and do a wonderful job keeping it in excellent shape and running smoothly.

I’d definitely recommend this hotel. The location is fantastic, and I’d stay there again without hesitation.
