This was the worst hotel stay of my life. The price was far too high for what you get. The room and all its furniture were filthy, with roaches and worms inside, and the toilet was dirty too. In the morning, housekeeping came in after knocking for just 15 seconds, which felt very unsafe as a solo traveler. The restaurant served food that was inedible and dangerous to eat. I've stayed all over Southeast Asia, and this was the worst experience by far. I'd rather sleep in my car than pay to stay here.

We had to leave too early for breakfast, but the staff let us use the voucher for dinner at the restaurant the night before. The room was clean and comfortable in the new container block, though it got very hot overnight. It's fine for a night before an early flight, with a 10-15 minute walk to the airport.

The staff were the best part of our stay. They were consistently friendly and helpful, and even supplied extra cooking equipment so we could make our own food and host visitors. We made quite a few requests, but they were always accommodated. I'd been to Dili several times before, but this was my first stay at Timor Lodge. If I come back, I'd stay here again. It's near the airport and within walking distance of shops and restaurants, including Timor Plaza. Our two bedroom villa was comfortable and had a kitchen. Some furniture was a little old, but everything was clean and tidy. There's also a nice pool and a good restaurant on site.

We stayed in one of the villas with our family and a couple of friends, and there was plenty of space. It was handy having a restaurant and pool, as well as outdoor activities like the gym and gymnasium on campus. The villa was serviced daily, and they provided the dishes and pans we needed to cook our own meals.
