Some staff went above and beyond to help us enjoy the stay. Kamel in the restaurant was very hospitable and funny throughout the week, and the entertainment staff were very good in the evenings. But there were plenty of problems. There was noisy, dusty work going on inside and outside the building all week, and we weren’t warned before booking or arriving. Some staff were impolite: one bar worker slammed our drink down and walked away without a word, while another repeated everything we said in a high-pitched voice as if mocking us. We also saw a rat run past the building’s outside window. Basic maintenance seemed lacking. All the female toilet taps at the bar were too hot, and only one of the three taps in the men’s toilets worked. The indoor pool had no changing area or proper shower facilities. On the beach, a man with a camel harassed and chased us every time we went there, and we were constantly pressured to book tours and trips.

The kids’ entertainment was a big hit, especially Souzy, who was fantastic and loved by all three of our children. They enjoyed the mini disco, water aerobics, archery, and much more. The staff, food, cleanliness, and entertainment were all great. This hotel was fantastic, and I’ll recommend it to others!

One thing I really didn’t like was staff taking guests’ phones and posting a five-star review. Guests should be free to review the hotel themselves, and I hold management responsible for this, not the employees. My favourite part was the location, close to the beach. The service was amazing throughout the hotel, with big smiles and the best service possible. The crew were always happy, nice, and sociable. There was good food with lots of options, and the choices changed from day to day, so there was always something new to try. The hotel also had a range of activities, including sport on TV, bingo, yoga, and music. The beds were a bit too hard for my taste, and some room details needed freshening up, but overall the room was good. It’s an amazing hotel.

The evening entertainment was a highlight, with different kinds of music so everyone could find something they liked. It was cold and rainy during our stay, so we missed out on the outdoor pool and beach. The food was decent and there was plenty of choice. Staff were so friendly and helpful throughout. Big thanks to Souzy, Rico and Tchitcho from the entertainment team for making us feel welcome, and to Ibrahim and Houssan at reception for helping us find a great excursion. Amazing hotel, and I’d definitely recommend it.
