Hôtel résidence El Fatimi

The clean beach and clear water were the one bright spot. If the beach is all you care about, the hotel could do, but I'd look elsewhere if you want more from a stay. Even by budget-hotel standards, I found the place disappointing. The rooms lacked basic things like a TV, and there was a constant moldy smell. The old bathroom badly needs renovation. The pool was small and poorly looked after, and there was no Wi-Fi. Loud music near the rooms continued until 2 AM, making it hard to sleep. Breakfast was barely more than a coffee and a small croissant. Honestly, I would have preferred that they didn't serve it.

The manager was helpful and service minded, and really tried to make our stay as good as possible. The location was ideal, with the pool and sandy beach just five metres away and a water sports centre a two-minute walk from the hotel. Unfortunately, the air conditioning in our rooms didn't work properly, so it was warmer inside than outdoors. During the day we could manage because we were outside, but the nights were hell. Since we were travelling with children, we had to change hotels. That's why I gave the room three stars.

Getting to the beach was easy, as it was very close. The hotel and rooms are old. There's a shared area with a pool and a TV with speakers, and it gets quite busy in the evening. The main problem was techno music until 2 am, which made it hard to fall asleep.

The beach was the only good thing for me. The pool was so dirty that I wouldn't get in it. I came to relax and enjoy the sea, but the music kept going until 2 or 3 in the morning and left me with insomnia and trouble sleeping every night. I know it's summer, but this was too much. If you're hoping for a relaxing stay, don't come here.
