SENTIDO Djerba Beach

The food was good, the rooms were clean, and the pool and sea were excellent. But we were there in mid-July, and the stay felt like a competition for space, whether it was a sunbed, a table on the terrace, or somewhere to sit for the evening program. German guests seemed to get priority, and staff spoke German without asking what language we spoke. It felt like staff tolerated only the German tourists. Some guests got up at 4am to reserve sunbeds with towels. German children were arrogant and threw balls into the water, affecting the other tourists, while their parents acted aggressively and did nothing, just laughing and watching. In the evening there were no free chairs for the program, and again it seemed the German tourists came first. I’m on holiday, not competing for a place by the pool, a terrace table, or an evening seat.

Everything was very clean, the facilities were well maintained, and all the staff were accommodating. The pools are lovely, and the entertainment kept me busy every day. Thanks to mesut(Lewis) and the team. This hotel is amazing, and I hope to come back in the future.

The food was fantastic, especially the grilled chicken and fish, just two of the many great dishes. There’s a superb pool and stunning views of the beach. Service was sometimes lacklustre, but that won’t stop me from coming back. Midoun bazar is a short taxi ride away, about 4 to 5 dinars, and well worth visiting.

I went in mid to late July and had a great stay overall. The beach and sea were amazing, the food was good, and the animation team worked hard to keep everyone entertained with what they had. My only downside was the heat in the restaurant and buffet.
