The animation team really kept the hotel going. They were brilliant with the kids and put so much effort into entertaining both children and adults, by the pool during the day and in the disco room every evening. The lads and ladies kept us laughing and reassured us, and were very safe with the kids. They deserve a pay rise and more attention from the managers and directors. Without them, the hotel would be a silent deadzone. The view was decent if you got a room at the back. Staff in the food court were good and brought drinks when asked. The food was okay, but the same every day, and it was laid out beautifully. Room service was decent, though getting towels and bathroom essentials replaced took several requests. The ATM was always out of order by early evening. You have to rent a kettle and cups, which is bizarre to me. The hotel shop is a total scam. A little £2 toy cost £10 and broke within two days. They said they'd sort out the price, but still scammed you. The owner needs to speak to them or charge more rent, since they're making crazy money from tourists. The excursion guy was pushy too, jumping on you to book. “jack” did sort the price out, but we still got overcharged. Watch out. The area is very isolated, so you'll need a taxi or car to get anywhere. It's a weak four-star hotel, but it does the job, I guess.

We had a fantastic week in late February. The hotel is in a beautiful spot right by the beach, where you can watch little fishing boats going about their day. I think some of that fish may be served at dinner, which must be about as fresh as it gets. Most days were in the mid 20s, and the kids enjoyed the pools and beach. The indoor pool is heated; the outdoor ones might still feel too cold for some. The animation team were great, too. EasyJet had clearly said the hotel was alcohol free at the time, so that wasn't an issue for us. It was quiet, which was what we wanted for a relaxed holiday. Most places nearby were closed because it was winter and Ramadan, but taxis were very reasonably priced for trips to towns and cities. The downside was people, not sure if they worked for the hotel, being pushy about signing us up for spa days and excursions, promising the best deals. I felt uncomfortable turning them down. After we got back from a day out, a man called captain Jack was angry that I hadn't booked through him. His “best price” was much higher than the price at a stall in Sousse. He said he'd have done it cheaper if we'd told him what we'd been quoted.

Amazing hotel and people. Everyone was friendly, humble, and honest, and gave professional service with a smile. Special thanks to the entertainment team, Animation. They put on shows for kids and adults every night and are a hardworking, talented, friendly group. We'll be back soon. Thank you.

My family and I had a great stay overall. The room was clean, comfortable, and well equipped, and the hotel amenities were excellent. Check-in and daily housekeeping went smoothly, thanks to friendly and efficient front desk staff and housekeepers. The animation team were really good, especially Didi, who was passionate about his role and a big hit with the kids. Some waiters were great, and tips were appreciated whatever the amount. They go a long way here, and you get VIP treatment. Breakfast didn't feel as good as at other places we visited; I'd stick with an omelette or continental options. We did have trouble getting transport advice. One concierge quoted 20-25 dinars for a taxi to the medina, even though there was a bus stop right outside. Before that, a waiter suggested his friend, who wanted 80 dinars for a return trip. No tips for either of them! We downloaded InDrive, a kind of Uber taxi app in Tunisia, where you can negotiate the fare before the ride. It suggests a price range, though either way you'd pay more than locals. Blue Beach to Medina was 9 dinars for a 15-20 minute drive; Blue Beach to Port was 20 dinars for a 40-minute ride. We saved a lot over several days out. Language wasn't a barrier because my wife speaks fluent French. Apart from that one concierge and waiter, we thoroughly enjoyed our trip to Tunisia and this hotel. I'd rate it 4/5.

This felt like a basic resort in the middle of nowhere, and the most disappointing holiday I've had. I don't know who recommended it as four star; two stars seems more accurate, and anything higher is clearly wrong. We were on half board, but they wanted to charge us even for water. We could only drink water at dinner and weren't allowed to carry any in our own bottle. Later we upgraded to all inclusive, which strangely came with different rules. The resort had told us something different, but this package still had no alcohol. The only drinks for the kids were basic Coke and Fanta. There was one bar and one buffet restaurant, and no mocktails. We basically paid the all-inclusive price for lunch and water. A few staff members were helpful and nice, and they were the saving grace.
