The private pool and beach were my favourite parts of the visit. I stayed this summer and had a great time, with clean rooms, good food, friendly service and a lovely view from the balcony. I’d stay here again, Inshaalah.

Parking and the location were good, and the staff were friendly. The dessert was good too. But for the price and four-star rating, this was a rundown shell of a hotel, and I didn't enjoy staying there. Our room was dusty, as was the old carpet, which apparently hadn't changed despite other reviews mentioning it three years earlier. The heating was out, so the room was freezing in winter. There was no heat anywhere, including the lobby, and the shower was cold too. The open buffet amounted to a couple of salads and a main dish. The fruit was old and sour. I'd call this a two-star hotel, and wouldn't have been so critical if the rating and price had been lower.

The food choices were nearly nonexistent, and I'm not sure they throw food away when clearing tables. That made me worry it could be served again. The silverware looked old and wasn't cleaned properly either. Our room smelled bad, and the carpets looked dirty and weren't cleaned. They didn't use air freshener in the bathroom, elevator or lobby. The service wasn't good. There were no drinks with the buffet, and everything came in tiny portions. Complimentary toiletries were missing, and for a room with two people there was only one body towel and one face towel, both old and dirty looking. I really didn't enjoy staying here.

When I stayed in 2007, the hotel was lovely, clean, and the food was good. Back then a Dinar was worth around 20p, and a lovely bottle of ice-cold beer cost 1 Dinar. I also bought a three-day excursion to the Star Wars filming location for £80, which was well worth the money. The one downside at the time was going out of the hotel. It felt okay during the day, but not very comfortable in the evening.
