Hotel Nesrine

We hesitated a bit because of a few comments we'd read, but our only regret in the end was not coming sooner. The whole staff were amazing, from entertainment and kitchen to housekeeping. Even with challenging conditions, everyone did their best to make us feel welcome and comfortable. Special thanks to the entertainment team, Pablo, Alex, Sassou, Jojo, and all the others I can't name individually. They made the stay unforgettable! I'm writing in English so everyone can understand.

The animation team were a real plus, fun and entertaining without pushing themselves on us. We visited Samira Club before peak season on an all-inclusive deal, and as a three-star hotel, it delivers what you pay for. A short sunny break can be nice here if you arrive with realistic expectations. The location is great, between the old Hammamet medina and Yasmine Hammamet, both pleasant for shopping and evening walks. Street sellers can be persistent, and more than once we heard unpleasant comments after politely declining to go into shops. The hotel's beach is right there, though there's often seaweed. A short walk along the shore gets you to clean sand. There were plenty of sunbeds by the pool and sea, plus slides and entertainment for kids. The evening meal was quite heavy, more like a proper half-board dinner. After a hot lunch at 2pm, I might have expected something lighter, but that's common in most hotels here, so not surprising. The fresh produce selection could be better. Smoking happened almost everywhere, which I found unpleasant, as people on holiday often seemed to forget about non-smokers. I tried the spa and thought it was decent value, £60 for two hours. It included a steam room, sea salt and mint scrub wrap with plenty of showers in between, a full body massage, lymphatic on the legs and Swedish on the rest, and a face mask at the end. The price was good, but the communication barrier could be a problem if you have an underlying health condition. There was no consultation before the massage.

The room and cleaning staff were lovely and brilliant at their jobs. We went back in November 2025, and the resort was quieter, so we had more space to do things. But there was absolutely nothing to do: everything was closed or cost extra on top of 'all inclusive'. Maybe it was our fault for booking off season, but the people connected to the hotel who were selling things on the property really let it down. Vendors kept trying to sell things and wouldn't stop harassing us. The man offering massages was especially derogatory towards women. The food wasn't great either. There were very few choices and the quality was weaker than school dinners.

The slides and aqua park were a big reason we booked, but neither was open or available. The TV in the room didn't work, and there was no fridge. We were a ten-minute drive from the lovely new town, but staff kept hounding and harassing us to book excursions, and could be quite rude when we refused. All-inclusive was very limited, with the same tasteless food every day. My partner and I got food poisoning from it. There weren't enough sun loungers by the pool. Overall, very, very disappointing.
