Sky Lodge

Sky Lodge was very clean, and the room had plenty of space. If spacious rooms matter to you, this is a good pick, since most hotels in Tonga don't have them. I enjoyed my stay and would definitely return on my next visit. Thanks so much ☺️

The restaurant and bar next door played loud music, and dogs barked through the night, so it wasn't quiet. For the price, this just wasn't worth the hassle. At check-in they arrived with a huge ring of unlabeled keys and tried them one by one on our two room doors. They couldn't open one room, left to find the key, and came back 20 minutes later. We eventually got in, but neither TV worked, one room had no coffee, and the shower in the other needed repair. The staff kept making excuses and blaming other people. They came to collect payment at 9 pm, and it took 20 minutes because their card machine wasn't working. Not good.

We needed more room than a standard hotel room, and this place gave us that, along with the option to do some simple cooking. It suited us perfectly. Don't expect five-star standards, though. The Pacific islands are unsophisticated.

A clean, nice area, with ocean views from every room, I'd bet. It's a nice facility, with a kitchen and a big fridge for whatever you need.
