Dinner service was a letdown: staff seemed eager to clear our plates without checking if we were finished. We also had to pay separately for every drink with meals. The food itself was good, with enough options for vegetarians and people on diets, though some desserts tasted noticeably watery. Room service staff were kind and attentive, and the Korel Cafe was very nice, with friendly, helpful staff. The spa was excellent, and more facilities could make it even better. It was disappointing that pool facilities that used to be free now cost extra. Getting to the hotel is convenient, and we were welcomed with a warm smile at the entrance. Reception was a different story: our room was an hour late, staff seemed indifferent when we asked for information, and one person replied, “I don't know,” with an annoyed expression. The first room had faulty lights, and the key cards didn’t work, but they did move us to another room. Despite the problems, we had a pleasant stay. Love from England!

You’ll need a taxi or bus to get into Afyon, since the hotel is outside the city. The food was excellent, with a huge selection of dishes, sweets, and pastries. Staff were kind and cheerful, and ready to help with questions. Rooms were tidy and clean; some furnishings weren’t new, but still looked nice. There are separate pool areas for men and women, two water slides, and both classic and menthol saunas, which I’d recommend. They give you a special cap when you enter the spa to protect your hair. We had lots of fun in the pools.

There’s no way out into the open air from the spa, and that would be especially nice on cold winter days. The spa and gym are very nice, though. The common areas can get quite loud because many families bring small children, and the staff weren’t as attentive as I’d hoped. Don’t go to breakfast too early, or you may have to wait for the tea water to boil.
