The view from the hotel is magnificent, and being on the balcony feels like staying out in the middle of the sea. We loved sitting there. The breakfast was excellent too. Even though we were the only room occupied that weekend, they turned the heaters all the way up. Their care and attention were wonderful. We were very pleased and recommend it to anyone wanting to stay in Akçakoca.

The breakfast was a real surprise: hot, fresh kuymak, egg cooked in butter, and toast arrived as a generous plate. With the restaurant view, it almost made me forget the night. Thanks to the man who prepared and served it so carefully. They said breakfast began at 9. Honestly, I stayed partly out of curiosity. The rooms are small and poorly maintained, and there's no reception. Heating was fine, but I itched all night. When I woke up once, there was a large insect on the bed beside me, and after that I could barely sleep. At the restaurant I paid 750 lira for one portion of anchovies, a Coke, and green salad. A kilo of anchovies costs 100 lira, which is a shame. I don't think the hotel or food are worth the price. I hope these comments help, since the location is perfect and the nature is wonderful. I guess the people praising the hotel haven't stayed there before.

The view could be lovely, but the place lacked cleanliness, care, and security. We were a group of six and arrived to find no receptionist or anyone to greet us. One man took us to the rooms without explaining anything about the hotel. When I asked, his answer wasn't very helpful. The rooms were quite dirty. There was no stopper in the bathroom drain, so showering left the whole floor covered in water. Dead insects were scattered along the windowsill. The fridge contained a package that looked old, with “enjoy your meal” written on it. The air conditioner worked, but you couldn't change the direction of its airflow. At 11 pm, coming back to the hotel on the edge of a cliff, we found it completely dark and saw no staff around. The person we called brushed us off with “what do you need?” We had nobody to contact for help in an emergency. There was supposedly a staff member, but he was in his room. Shouldn't someone be at reception all night?

For the price, it's a very successful place. The view is great, the rooms are enough for two people, and breakfast is quite sufficient.
