At the end of November it was in the seventies, and the place wasn't crowded. We paid $21 a night for an apartment with a bedroom, separate kitchen and hall, and a bathroom with a shower. Staff service was excellent and prompt. The manager said spring and summer rates are $80 and up, if you can find a room. Turkuaz Appart. Hotel is in a beautiful area by Akayaka Beach town, with a sandy beach on the Gulf, pretty two-story houses, supermarkets and restaurants.

The hotel is well situated and properly equipped. The host was exceptionally kind and helpful, a rare find. Their jam for sale is very good too. Highly recommend.

The host was fantastic, and the homemade fruit jams they sell were delicious, at least from my Canadian perspective!
