Eles Otel

We spent four nights at the Eles Hotel with my family. The sea was choppy and wavy the whole time, so we didn't swim there and instead explored Bodrum. Mr. Hakan was especially attentive and helpful, and the rest of the staff were helpful too. The beds were clean, and breakfast was simple but good quality.

The staff were very polite and tried to find solutions when we needed something, but the resort's facilities are really limited. The rooms were neglected and poorly cleaned, with worn, old furnishings. During our week there they weren't cleaned even once. Breakfast just took care of hunger, and I didn't use the beach, though it looked promising from a distance. I'm not sure I'd want to spend a whole day there. The sea view is magnificent, as it is throughout this region, but the resort is generally very poorly maintained. Nearby, there's live music or entertainment every evening. The noise wasn't too bothersome, though sometimes it got overwhelming, so anyone prioritizing peace and quiet might be disappointed. For the price, I think this place is beyond comparison. Unless you have a compelling business trip or a tedious task to finish over a few days, I definitely wouldn't recommend it for a vacation.

The sea was too rough for swimming when we visited, and the hotel is so far from the center that there's not much reason to stay in. At night there was no lighting, so sitting outside facing the sea meant sitting in pitch darkness. The rooms felt more like a guesthouse: very old, dark and smelly, with moldy bathroom grout. I worried about insects and barely slept on the first night. The beds were uncomfortable, with wires digging in, and the pillows were yellowed. Breakfast was adequate, just the standard things. I wouldn't recommend it.

The best option in this area for this price at this time of year, in my opinion. You can get from your room to the sea in a minute, and the hotel has its own non-rocky beach and a pier. Breakfast was good, and all the staff were friendly. Hakan especially was warm and friendly, always around and ready to solve problems or take care of what you need. I really liked this boutique hotel and definitely recommend it.
