Xafira Deluxe Resort & Spa - All Inclusive

Reception and the Animation team were the bright spots, always pleasant and smiling. The rest of the service was hard to accept as all-inclusive. Bar staff often looked unhappy, and with no cocktail menu there was no way to know what drinks they had. The restaurant was chaotic, and cutlery still had food from the previous meal on it. The dishes weren’t cooked well, and the ingredients seemed cheap, as if meals were being put together just to get by. Room cleaning happened so rarely that we ended up cleaning it ourselves. I wouldn’t give this hotel five stars.

That pool really is one of the biggest I’ve visited, and wow, the check-in was pleasant too. They upgraded us to a pool-view room, which was worth it, and we paid cash at reception. The room itself was tidy and clean, but music carried in quite loudly until midnight and the wallpaper was peeling, which shouldn’t happen at this star rating. Most of the stay was let down by the all-inclusive offering. The food was the worst I’ve had at one, very plain with little variety or anything special. At breakfast there wasn’t even an omelette or scrambled eggs. Nearly everything was self-service. I’ve stayed at other hotels in Turkey where the range was amazing, but this menu and availability were far below standard. The beach isn’t connected to the hotel, so you need a shuttle. Finding a sunbed near the pool was difficult, and getting an elevator could mean a long wait. The room fridge was always empty, so we had to walk a long way to refill water.

There isn’t much nightlife around the resort once the entertainment ends. We tried the illusion club, a really cool place, but it was quiet on a Monday at the end of the season. I can imagine it becoming a super club at a busier time of year. That aside, we had a great first all-inclusive resort stay in Antalya. We toured the hotel and enjoyed the beach, where Xafira has its own section with food, drinks, and loungers included from 11am-4pm. The animation team was fun and engaging. Can Polat, whose name badge says so, is a cheeky bugger and a cool guy to hang out with. He and the rest of the events team made the stay a pleasure. There was enough food and drink at the restaurant and beach bar to keep us going all day, with plenty of choice for children and adults. We joined several excursions offered by the reps and enjoyed every one, especially the flying horses safari and quad biking. The weather was brilliant apart from today’s heavy showers. I’d recommend it to families and couples looking for a budget-friendly holiday.

My sister and I spent seven days here and had an amazing time. The welcome was good, and they carried our luggage upstairs. There was plenty to do, and we loved the animation team’s activities, the Halloween party, the club parties, and the Brazilian show. The pool was a little cold, but there’s also the beach or the pool with slides. The food was good too. A good place to stay.
