Grand Kaptan

The room was comfortable, the hotel clean, and its facilities were good. The location was convenient, too. We especially appreciated Mahira, whose kind, caring nature and positive energy helped make our stay feel warm. Thanks for all the attention and care. The rest of the team were hardworking, smiling, attentive, and ready to help. Waiters were quick, and the bartenders knew their work. We were pleased with Grand Kaptan Hotel in Alanya: the food was fresh and delicious, with plenty of meat, fish, vegetables, desserts, and salads. The themed dinners were a particular favorite, and even picky eaters should find something they like. We'd gladly come back and wholeheartedly recommend it. 💙🌴✨

We had a great time at Grand Kaptan, and our infant son was treated like a star by staff who went above and beyond. The buffet had a strong selection and changing menus, and drinks were served at the table, which made meals more comfortable. Staff were attentive, welcoming, and professional. We arrived near the end of the season to a lively hotel with fewer guests, and felt very welcome. We hadn't been told that services might be reduced, though, and I assumed from my travel experience that the hotel would stay fully open until the last guest left. I was wrong. In the last two days, features started closing without notice. Entertainment stopped, and there was karaoke, but taking a child there could bother other guests. We tried the Moonbar instead, only to find it closed while several people were sitting there, because they didn't want to be at the bar with mostly Russian karaoke songs. On our last day at the beach, the bar lady seemed annoyed that we'd come, and staff started taking away chairs with guests still sitting on them. Those final days made us feel in the way, with loud music or the room as our only options. If a hotel is closing for the season, guests should be told about changes so they can decide whether they still want to go.

My cousin and I stayed for a week at Grand Kaptan Hotel in Alanya at the beginning of October. The pools were enjoyable, but you need to get up early to claim a beach sunbed. Food was average without any standout dishes, and late breakfast was often gone after 10 AM. Drinks were decent, with a few cocktails and one local beer. The rooms felt outdated for a 5-star hotel. You also pay extra for a quilt and Wi-Fi, though we used eSIMs so I can't comment on the room connection. Lobby Wi-Fi was slow when lots of people were using it. The one restaurant booking per stay is limited to a weeknight, which I hadn't been told at check-in. I tried to book Saturday and missed my chance, so they could communicate that better. Shuttle buses into town can be packed, so arrive early if you want a seat. We took taxis a few times for convenience. It was a decent stay without major issues, but some modernisation would be welcome.

We'd been to Alanya before, but this hotel really went the extra mile on service, cleanliness, and the overall impression. We travelled with our five-month-old on our first family holiday, and the staff helped us with everything we needed. Mahere, Özlem, Gunnur, and Ebru were absolute stars. The buffet had great variety, and the beach was lovely with a bar. Our room was nice and came with Coffe and minibar. Well worth the money, and we'll definitely come back!
