Sultan Hostel & Guesthouse

We couldn't stay in the room. It was dirty and nothing like the listing. There were no towels, no extra linen for the sofabed we had booked, no kitchen utensils, and no bathroom soap. When we said we'd go elsewhere and wanted a refund, the man said the booking was non-refundable. He asked how he could fix the problems, but got defensive when I explained them. Before arriving, I emailed to say we'd get there around midnight. They said someone would be waiting, but the place was closed when we arrived. Some guys on the street had to call someone from elsewhere to come open it. Once inside, the man said we had to pay an extra 20 euros in fees. I argued that nobody had told me, but I was exhausted and just wanted to sleep. We left, and I contacted Expedia once we had settled into another hotel. Since I'd booked through them, I thought they'd sort it out. They tried contacting Sultan Apartments, but nobody answered, and they said they had to wait 72 hours before acting. It then took a while to reach Sultan Apartments. They claimed my pictures were fake and took no responsibility. Expedia refunded only half of what I'd paid, which I disagree with, since they're dealing with a scammer. I'm still fighting Expedia. Please don't stay there. My family and I had the worst experience. These scammers don't deserve even one star.
