Gürses Apart Hotel

We'd planned to stay two weeks, but after arriving late, we were glad we'd only booked one night. The foam mattress was badly worn and had no support. We asked to switch rooms and were told all the beds were the same; they didn't seem interested in helping. Tap water isn't drinkable, and they don't even provide a complimentary first bottle in the room. I wouldn't recommend staying here.

We spent five nights here in June and six in August. The location is great, close to both the bazaar area and the beach. There are two pools and a small bar, and you can borrow a beach towel from reception. The room was clean, and to request cleaning you just press a button before 14:00. The bed is comfortable, with good storage for clothes and bags.

The room was small but clean, with a lovely big balcony. The pool area was clean too, with a shower, toilets and service by the pool. The concierge, Gonca (sp?), was especially helpful and friendly. You're right in the city, with plenty of shops, cafés and restaurants within walking distance, and the beach is only a five-minute walk away.

We stayed for 23 days, and I travel a lot, so I have some experience to compare it with. The location, cleanliness, rooms, breakfasts and sea view were all delightful. The staff deserve a special mention, they're professional and simply wonderful people, with huge hearts and lovely smiles. I'll recommend the hotel to all my friends, and I hope to return more than once.
