Sun Hotel By En Vie Beach

I had a really nice stay and paid a very budget-friendly price for a place like this. From the second floor, you can go down, get a cappuccino from the staff, and sit by the sea. I slept with the sound of the water instead of road noise, and the morning sea view was lovely. I used earplugs at night because of the restaurant music. The staff were very responsive and helped with everything I asked for. For me, the big draw is the location. Sun Hotel is right in central Alanya, on a small stretch of the FIRST COASTLINE, which is RARE in Alanya. You can order from the restaurant at your sun lounger, another RARITY. I've known this place since it first opened, when it was one of the best restaurants, and I already knew what the grounds and beach area were like. They suited me. There are very few hotels in Alanya right by the sea. I agree the cleanliness could be improved, but this is a three-star hotel, and I think it offers fair value for that price and rating. I hadn't realized Sun Hotel was three-star when I booked, and that's on me for not reading reviews and expecting a boutique hotel. I don't think it makes sense to expect five-star service from a budget place. For three stars, it's quite nice, though I've had some awful experiences at other three-star hotels. People complain that it takes a few minutes for the water to heat up. In Turkey, nearly all homes have a heating boiler, so waiting a minute for hot water is normal.

We had a spacious, clean quad room and the breakfast was good. The location and restaurant are the main draws, and being right on the beach was nice. We stayed for a week and had a pretty good time. The pool is tiny, more like one for kids. The Expedia photo made it look much bigger, but luckily we had the beach. We dealt with three receptionists, and only one treated us well. I can't remember his name, but he seemed to be in his mid-30s. Thanks to him for being kind to us.

Everything was fine apart from the air conditioner leaking. The location was nice, we could walk everywhere, and service was good with most staff being friendly. Special thanks to Alpay for the great service at the beach every morning, he deserves extra credit.

The staff were helpful and nice, and I especially want to thank Irem, who was lovely. It's a great hotel and I'd recommend it to anyone visiting Alanya. I'd stay here again if I came back.
