Cadde 7 Otel

I had planned to stay two nights for work, but I wouldn't come back. All the rooms smelled bad because smoking was allowed in them. We tried four rooms before finding one with working air conditioning, and even that room never got cool. I don't recommend this place.

The neighborhood was lovely, with plenty of cafes and restaurants around, and the location was good. The receptionist who checked us in was friendly and helpful. Housekeeping was another issue: the rooms weren't especially clean, smelled of cigarette smoke and mold, and had holes in the sheets. There were no elevators either. Some other staff were rude and could use customer-service training. What really upset us was being warned in public during the day, with other guests around, because someone had complained about what we thought was normal daytime noise. The receptionist was impolite and said another guest was considering calling the police. If the hotel needed to raise the issue, it should have been done privately and tactfully. It was daytime, and regular noise shouldn't have been a problem, especially when the hotel is known to have poor soundproofing. This was very disappointing, and I would advise people to avoid the hotel.

There's no elevator, so you're stuck going up and down a lot of stairs if you forget to buy something. The rooms have no view, and sound carries so badly between neighboring rooms that you can easily hear what's happening next door. The staff weren't bad, but the facility wasn't good. There's no breakfast, and the toilet in the room they gave me had no fan to remove odors, even though they said no other rooms were available. I definitely won't return.

My vacation was nice thanks to all the staff. Special thanks to Sercan, who speaks English well and made it easier for us to sort out everything we needed.
