Divan Cukurhan Hotel

The restaurant staff were lovely, and the concierge tried to sort out the problems I ran into. My room, the China room, was spacious and had great views, as did the restaurant. The hotel has beautiful character, with rooms decorated around different places. The internet never worked for me during the stay, despite attempts to fix it and a visit from the technician. I could get online everywhere else, including the museum. One night there was a wedding, which limited access to the central space. It was awkward having to walk through an engagement party to get in, and I wish paying guests had been given more room to pass or at least warned. I was disappointed not to use the areas where I could relax, especially since I left early the next morning.

The building's historic elegance made it a lovely place to stay, and our room was really comfortable. Emre was especially kind and helpful, and the rest of the staff were exceptional. Breakfast was very good, with lovely views. Hotel guests can visit the museum for free, so don't miss it. The castle area gets busy on weekends, though it was much quieter during the week.

Breakfast, security, and reception staff all made us feel welcome. Everyone was kind and attentive, and our room had everything we needed. It was spotless, comfortable, and cozy, with beautiful design throughout. Staying at Divan Çukurhan on 18-19 August with my boyfriend was unforgettable. The place felt as if we'd stepped back in time, surrounded by the old Turkey atmosphere and details that made me imagine being inside the Ankara Castle centuries ago. We absolutely loved this unique, heartwarming stay and would recommend it to anyone visiting Ankara.

Breakfast was great, with wonderful views over the city, and the bar was a highlight too. It has a little moat around the lounge area. Right in historic Ankara, the hotel is beautifully restored with almost museum-like attention to detail. A totally unique stay and a must for anyone visiting the city.
