Enerji Hotel

The room was warm when I stayed in early March, and the bed was a good size and comfortable. The shower was roomy with great water pressure. The internet was freezing and high speed, and there was a modern flat-screen TV on the wall, though the channels were only in Turkish. Having a kettle in the room was great for making a cuppa whenever I wanted. Even so close to the city, I couldn’t hear anything outside. It’s a very clean hotel with friendly staff. The location is handy for shopping, right at the end of a small street with a pedestrian shopping area and lots of cafés at very cheap prices. I’ll definitely be back.

Restaurants and shops are close by and inexpensive, and other popular spots are nearby too, all within walking distance. This was the best place I’ve stayed in Ankara. The rooms were clean, the service was fantastic, and reception staff were friendly and quick to respond to what we needed. I enjoyed the stay, and the prices are reasonable.

The street is extremely noisy at night because of the clubs, bars, and karaokes. On a weekend, it was loud even with the window closed, and after one sleepless night I asked management to move me. They were very helpful and accommodating, which made a big difference. The location is convenient and close to everything. The room is simple, but had what I needed. Breakfast was good and varied, with everything being replenished.

I paid 1500 Turkish lira, around $44, for one night in a single room, and it wasn’t worth it. The location shown in the apps is misleading, and it was noisy at night. I didn’t bother asking to switch rooms, I just left. I arrived at night and moved to another hotel early the next morning. The room was tiny and the furniture worn out. The refrigerator didn’t work, and the AC only cooled, with no heat, even though I’d been told it worked. It was winter, so I had to put on my clothes to stay warm. The curtains were torn, the lighting was poor, and the bed was okay. Breakfast was acceptable, though some items weren’t fresh.
