Hotel Excellence Inn

The view of Ankara was lovely both day and night, and my room was clean and comfortable. I liked being able to open the window for fresh air. Breakfast had lots of delicious choices, just right for my long days, and the room service I tried one day was very good too. I was in town in mid-September for my daughter's wedding. Coming from Sacramento, CA, and speaking no Turkish, I felt very well looked after by the staff at Hotel Excellence Inn. I didn't explore the area myself, but my daughter's best friend enjoyed walking around in the lovely weather, taking photos, and seeing the nearby businesses. It was my first time in Ankara, and I loved my short stay. I can't wait to come back.

The staff were the highlight for me. They were so kind and really tried to make things pleasant. My room was spacious, spotless, and had plenty of amenities, and I loved the wide selection at breakfast. I spent three nights here last week and everything felt just right. I'd definitely book this hotel again if I return to Ankara.

The room was comfortable, but it needs some upkeep. It was 17 degrees inside and the heating wasn't on yet because it's central, apparently. Five days before October in Ankara, so what are they waiting for, Santa? The window wouldn't shut, and the bathroom door was crooked and took some effort to close. Breakfast was fine, nothing special, and the coffee was really bad. At checkout we had a pleasant conversation. Management seemed capable and keen to sort out my issues. They said the heating problem was temporary and related to maintenance, and offered extra blankets or fresh coffee. I appreciated their focus on solving things. I'm an introvert and prefer not to have several calls and conversations, but it was clear they wanted to make my stay better.

There are plenty of good restaurants within a mile, and there's a Starbucks cafe on the ground floor. Reception were helpful, and the restaurant service was quick, though its menu was limited and outside food wasn't allowed. Breakfast was only okay, with nearly the same options every day. The rooms were nice and the hotel was pretty good overall, but there's no pool or gym, which is a major drawback. Late checkout only goes to 2 pm, even if you ask specially. Still, I had a good experience.
