INN12

I booked through Airbnb, thankfully, and this was the last of three cities on my Turkey trip. I wouldn't stay here again. The apartment reeked of cigarettes, and it wasn't even the one I'd booked online. After 10 hours of driving, we got there at 9pm, and luckily the place I'd found on Google Street View was the right one. Before that, the host hadn't contacted me on the morning of our afternoon check-in. I messaged through Airbnb asking whether I needed details, but got no response for hours, well past check-in. Reviews said the listing address might be wrong, so I asked about that too. The host sent a link that didn't work. I searched around on Street View, found what looked like a photo, and sent it to him to check, but he never answered. If it hadn't been so late, I would have looked for somewhere else as soon as we smelled the smoke. There was damaged furniture and fittings all over the apartment, a mouldy bathroom, and it was filthy enough that the bottoms of my feet got dirty just walking around after a shower. In the bedroom, the laminate planks had come completely unstuck and were just lying on the floor. I managed to fall asleep despite the smell, but other guests shouting woke me soon after. I could also hear people having sex in other rooms. A review I'd read after booking said sex workers used the hotel and that police had checked IDs during their stay. That didn't happen to me, but hearing all that through the walls, including at 9am, made that review seem plausible. We were meant to stay two nights, but I couldn't take it any longer. I checked out and drove to another Airbnb for night #2. I sent Airbnb support all the details, photos, and my messages with the host. They refunded both nights in full and are investigating the host.

We booked on Airbnb, but when we got there, nobody had told us there was no availability. The owner, Mr. Mehmet, had seen the message and still didn't reply for 6 hours.

We'd come from out of town for the interview, and I really can't recommend this place. The rooms were in bad shape and smelled strongly. We could hear adult content from other rooms all night, right through to morning.

The room was badly worn, with cigarette burns on the coffee table and carpets, discolored parquet, and plenty of other things that needed renovation. I barely slept. Cars kept passing outside, the combi boiler in the bedroom ran constantly, and I could hear toilets flushing from the upper floors. Then from 01:00 until 04:30, a woman and her friend were cursing at each other. The woman had enough curses for Türkiye and then some. I'm never staying there again. Your choice.
