King Hotel Guvenlik

The garden and pool were nice, and the stay was okay, but there are better options for the price. The hotel and rooms are old and don't look like the photos. Service was really poor, with bad attitudes and side eyes as soon as we arrived. They say it's kid friendly, but I don't really agree. Breakfast was maybe 5/10, with limited choices, no cereal or omelet, and no juice, just water, tea, and coffee. The air conditioner was broken and didn't work well. The coffee maker was just a kettle, and there wasn't any coffee with it. The view was bad, and the room smelled a bit like cigarettes.

I spent 10 days in a spacious apart room with a kitchen and sofa area. It's in a great, quiet spot, and all the staff were lovely, helpful, friendly, and respectful. A special thank you to the reception team, especially Tuğba, Berna, Selen, and Hüseyin. Good value for money, with a nice Turkish breakfast included. I'd happily recommend it.

We'd normally avoid a 3 star hotel, but someone else booked this as a layover for just a few hours of sleep. We hadn't been told about the construction work, and the noise made it impossible to sleep. They should have mentioned that when the booking was made. The room was a decent size, with coffee making facilities. The receptionist we met and the bell boy were both very polite.

We stayed with my parents, who are over 65, and the staff treated them with so much respect. They even prepared packed breakfast plates for them to take to the room 😊😊😊. Everyone working there was friendly and helpful. It really felt like a 5 star standard, especially because of the lovely people. I'd stay again if I come to Ankara. Amazing.
