Raymar Hotels Ankara

The rooms were tidy, the staff were very humble and helpful, and the location was perfect. Breakfast tasted good, though it hardly changed during my five nights there, just once. One thing that looked nice at first but wasn’t practical was the dim lighting. Still, a great place overall.

I liked being right in town, with parking available and someone to park the car for you. But the rooms get really hot. The AC only blew hot air even when set to 17 degrees, so I had to turn it off, and outside noise meant I couldn’t open the window. Also, breakfast had no coffee machine, just instant coffee. I’ve never stayed at a hotel without proper coffee, and in Turkey I expected a nice cup.

The internet was a little weak, but everything else worked well. The AC was effective, the room was clean and had a minibar, and the facilities were good. Breakfast was nice, and the staff were kind and professional. Shops, restaurants, and the main shopping street are just around the corner, and the sound insulation kept outside noise from disturbing us.

Food, shops, and attractions are all close by, which made the location the best part of our stay at Raymar Hotel Ankara. The building is old and could use renovations, though it was still good value for money. Staff were friendly, but many didn’t speak English, so communication was difficult. Breakfast was fresh and tasty, with a limited choice. Our first night was a weekend and there was some noise from nearby places playing loud music; the second night was quiet. The photos I added are only to give an idea of the room.
