For the price, it was clean, everything worked, and I can’t really ask for more. The bedsheets were fresh and there was hot water in the shower. From the upper floor windows you could see the Mausoleum in the distance. It’s easy to walk to lots of places, even if the neighborhood itself isn’t the most upmarket. The staff were friendly, though not many spoke English, and we managed. The building’s worn in places but keeps its retro look. It felt like stepping into 1984, which was kind of cool 😎 Breakfast was basic but enough: several kinds of egg, sausage, cheese, olives, jam, butter, and good fresh bread. No coffee, though! It’s also a smoking hotel, and the smell lingers and seems to move between rooms. Still, a good budget place to crash, no complaints.

Perfect spot for exploring the city, with neat rooms and some of the friendliest, most helpful staff. I’d recommend it 100%.

We found the room nice and clean, though old, and it could smell of cigarette smoke since I think smoking is allowed in the room. The bed and air cooling were comfortable despite their age, and the free breakfast was a nice extra. The location is central but very busy. If you’re driving, there’s indoor parking for about five cars. It’s very narrow, but the staff helped us get the car in and out.

Aside from this, the hotel was a good place to stay. But an older man at the front desk charged me 500TRY, around 14 US dollar, for laundry and insisted on cash instead of card. He put the money in his wallet. I don’t know whether that was a normal price or a scam.

Quiet, friendly, and affordable, with everything clean and in good order. I even got breakfast free of charge. They really try to make guests comfortable. Staying there was a pleasure, and I highly recommend it.
