Siyav Hotel

We paid 600 TL for 3 bedrooms (6 persons), and the hotel was very clean, with a good breakfast and onsite parking. Kocatepe Mosque is a 7 minute walk away, and it’s 10 minutes on foot to Kızılay, where there are restaurants and cafes. I’d stay again if I were in Ankara. There are bars and pubs nearby, which is the only downside to the location, but they aren’t right opposite the hotel and the noise wasn’t irritating. Full stars from me, definitely good value for money.

The location and price are the best things about this hotel. The employees were kind, though their English wasn’t fluent. We didn’t have anything in the room for making tea or coffee, and on the first night there was a faint cigarette smell. Maybe I’m being strict, and I don’t mean to hurt their reputation, but those were the issues I noticed.

The internet was fast enough for a high-quality video interview, and the staff were very polite. Their English was limited, but communication was still easy. We spent 4days at the Siyav Otel. It’s well placed for reaching embassies and major streets such as Ataturk Blv, where many shops are located. Breakfast wasn’t very good or exciting and could use more items. If you’re looking for a room in a 3 stars hotel, I’d recommend the Siyav.

Siyav is close to the town center, so you can walk to the best parts of Ankara. It’s a nice, clean hotel and a good budget option. Just don’t expect a great bar or a perfect breakfast.
