I paid for two nights but left after just one. The toilet seat wouldn’t lift, the window wouldn’t open, and the water heater still had water in it, probably left by the previous guest. Breakfast was very basic, so I went to restaurants on the street instead. Worst hotel I’ve stayed at in Turkey.

From the upstairs restaurant, Anıtkabir looks beautiful, and the view makes it feel like you’re eating among greenery. The food was good and the prices reasonable, so I’d definitely recommend it. We were very satisfied with everything, and the staff were helpful.

I asked for an invoice when I checked in, and they issued it right away. The woman at reception was helpful, and the rooms were clean. There’s a buffet breakfast, and the rate changes with the number of guests: 2500 TL for one person and 3750 TL for two. It’s quite close to the train station. We didn’t know Ankara, so we took a taxi after getting off the high-speed train, but the ride was only 3-4 minutes. We could have walked. I’d stay here again if I return to Ankara.

The rooms with a view of Anıtkabir (Mausoleum of Atatürk) are the most special feature for me. This is one of the public guesthouses I choose in Ankara because it’s reliable, central, and easy to reach. Breakfast is adequate, and the service is high quality.
