Adalya Port Hotel

We left in the middle of the night, even though that meant risking a €350 booking with no refund. It was still better than staying there. The hotel was filthy and badly in need of renovation. The sheets had stains, the fabric bed headboards were awful, mold was everywhere, and the floor was broken and dirty. The toilet clearly hadn’t been cleaned after the previous guest, with slit marks inside. There was also major construction going on without warning, and the person who parked our car smoked in it. We raised all of this with management, but they denied our complaints and said the property was run to the highest hygiene standards, which was laughable. After the hotel management responded to this review, I also want to say their explanation about the hygiene was false and didn’t match what we saw. This wasn’t one missed day of cleaning. The mold, rust, and heavy grime point to years of poor management. Their response did confirm that we were given a dirty room at check-in. Check other negative reviews too, there are more photos and similar complaints.

The breakfast comes with lovely marina views, and the building itself is beautiful and old, right in the heart of Antalya Old Town. What really made our stay, though, was how thoughtful everyone was. The manager, reception team, and breakfast servers all went out of their way to make us comfortable.

Breakfast was delicious every day, and the kitchen and waiting staff even sorted out a sandwich for me to take away. The whole team was fantastic. The port location is great, with easy access everywhere, and somehow it stays quiet despite being right there. Had a great time.

The best part of our stay was breakfast, served until 11:30 AM. It was a generous spread with excellent service, and on its own made the stay worthwhile. Housekeeping was attentive too, with free bottled water each day. The room was decent for the location, though the old bathroom had mold and a damp smell. Nearby restaurants and shops charge about three times as much for being in the Old Town. Walk 15 minutes out and prices are more normal. On our first night, the receptionist suggested a restaurant down the road. We were overcharged, with an extra item we hadn’t ordered called “tax,” and the food seemed stale. I ended up with stomach pain. The prices were even higher than in London.
