Hotel Lunay

At Hotel Lunay, Sauaş and Suzi were especially helpful and friendly, and I felt very welcome. The staff's hospitality made my stay even better, and they went out of their way to make sure I had a great time. I had a fantastic visit and would definitely come back. Highly recommend Hotel Lunay if you're after a warm, inviting place to stay.

The breakfast buffet was a bright spot, with the basics we wanted: cheeses, olives, eggs, fried fries, butter, jams, sliced tomatoes and cucumbers, watermelon, and tea. Our sleeping area was fine and the sheets were clean, but the rooms and bathrooms didn't seem to be cleaned properly. There was a persistent bad smell, so we had to keep the AC running to contain it. We booked two rooms at Hotel Lunay for our family during a busy holiday period, and the experience was disappointing. The bathroom doors wouldn't lock, and the showers had no doors, so water splashed everywhere and there was little privacy. The study area was cramped, with a small ottoman and mini fridge cluttering the space under the desk. The hotel seemed to cut corners in other ways too. All the outlets shut off when we left the room, so charging devices during breakfast wasn't possible. In one room, the AC was positioned over the bed, making it uncomfortable to leave on while sleeping. Neither of the two TV remotes could get any channels, and there were no instructions for using them. There was also no phone in the room, so when we needed help, we had to go downstairs and often found reception empty. The receptionist who checked us in was polite, but we never saw her again. With the unreliable amenities, inconsistent service, and cleanliness issues, we wouldn't recommend staying here.

The pool area is amazing, and our room was clean and well maintained. The host was polite and kind, and even arranged an early breakfast for us because one of our tours started early. We had a wonderful stay and would recommend this place 😃

The location worked well for us, close enough to the center for an easy taxi ride, and quiet at night so we could rest. Our room was clean, and the staff were helpful. Breakfast was disappointing, though: the food seemed close to running out every time, and the watermelon wasn't fresh even though I wasn't especially late. Also, avoid booking the Suluada trip through their agency. The bus had no air conditioning, the return trip took three hours instead of an hour and a half, and we were left to figure out which boat to look for.
