The Room

We were booked into a four-star hotel but were sent to an apartment five minutes away. The room was clean, though it felt like an Airbnb charging hotel prices, and it was cleaned every other day instead of daily. The neighborhood felt dark and was a long way from the beach, about a 20-minute walk before you can see it. Breakfast had plenty of options, but it closed at 10:30 and the food was only so-so.

I spent a few nights here in August. The reception is staffed around the clock, and the team were kind. Rooms were cleaned daily and had all the essentials. Breakfast was available for up to three hours in the morning, with lots of choices. Everything was as it should be. Highly recommend!

We had a spacious, clean room, the air conditioning worked well, and the internet was fine. The hotel is close to Konyaaltı beach, with plenty of parks and restaurants nearby. Breakfast was good and Turkish-style, though there was no cappuccino. On arrival, the receptionist rudely insisted check-in started at 14.30, not 14.00. Maybe she was having a bad day. Apart from that, everything was fine.

I’ve stayed once in the hotel and once in an apartment in a separate building 200 meters away with a group of three. I’d recommend either option. The apartments have a washing machine and balcony drying rack, and the kitchen works for cooking. There’s plenty for a good holiday, though they don’t provide water, coffee or tea on the second day or take out the trash as they do in the main building. More paper napkins would help, and maybe a cutting board too. The sea is a 12-13 minute walk from the apartments, or about 10 minutes from the hotel. The reception and cleaning staff left a good impression. They were friendly, positive, and willing to help. Conyakly and The Room offer a wonderful balance of price and quality, with humane service.
