White City Pension

The bed linen and towels were clean, but that was about the only reassuring part. The place was shabby, with worn furniture and a tired bathroom. There wasn’t enough water to wash my hair, and the hot water didn’t work. The bathroom also didn’t seem properly clean: there was yellow liquid in the toilet, so I wondered whether it had been cleaned after the previous guest, and chewing gum was stuck to the toilet. Overall, far from recommendable.

For a small price, this is the best deal in Antalya. The room was clean and smelled fresh, and the beach is just a five-minute walk away. Breakfast was delicious, tea is free all day, and laundry is inexpensive.

After taking a night bus from Cappadocia, we wandered into the old town at 8am looking for coffee and WiFi. We found this place, and the woman there was very friendly despite her limited English. We ended up staying the night, and she let us check in straight away so we could shower and freshen up. The bathrooms need some work, but the hospitality and location are excellent.

The family running the pension are very friendly and willing to help figure things out if problems come up. The rooms are clean. It’s a good, affordable hotel in the middle of Antalya’s old town, and I’d recommend it if you’re after a cheap but decent pension.
