Cois Inn Royal Hotel

The noise was impossible to ignore. There’s no sound insulation, so I could hear people in the next room as clearly as if they were beside me. The toilets and corridors smelled terrible, many rooms had bedbugs, and none of the rooms had air conditioning. I’ve stayed in plenty of hotels, but this one was worse than bad.

There was no hot water, and the bed linen and everything else smelled awful. Hygiene here was the worst I’ve ever seen. I absolutely wouldn’t recommend it. Unless it’s a matter of life or death, stay away.

The bed was awful, thin, and the wires dug into me all over. I complained about these problems several times, but nobody did anything. The place was filthy, the floors were tiled, and there was definitely no heater in the room. The walls were really thin, so even the slightest noise from elsewhere carried through.

I was cold until morning because the heater in my room wasn’t working when I arrived late at night. There was no phone to call reception, so when I needed toilet paper I had to go down two floors and report the heating problem in person. The employee said another guest on the floor kept turning off the boiler because they didn’t like the heat. We went back upstairs together and he turned the boiler on low. The heater started working again in the morning. The window lock didn’t work either. Wind made the window move open and shut by 1-2 cm, with a loud whistling noise. There wasn’t a reading lamp, so the TV light was my night light. The room had no slippers, and the shampoo bottle had already been used and was left open. Two cardboard teacups were full of hair. The towels and sheets were old and dirty. Cleanliness in general was practically nonexistent, and the bathroom edges were covered in mold and dirt. I told the woman at reception about each issue that morning. I stayed for one night to avoid waiting at the airport. There were so many shortcomings I hardly knew what to write. The owners shouldn’t be running a hotel, or need proper hotel management training. I hope they improve, but I won’t stay here again.
