Hampton by Hilton Istanbul Arnavutkoy

A convenient choice for a short layover, about 10 minutes by taxi from IST airport. Everyone seemed well organized, and the rooms were nicely appointed, clean, and had good soundproof windows. The bed was comfortable, and breakfast had a good variety. Alexandria greeted us on arrival and was professional, kind, attentive, and friendly. Thank you! I’d stay here again.

There was no hot water in our room. The receptionist offered a room change when I told her, but we’d already unpacked and changing rooms would have been a lot of work, so I left it. I hoped it might be fixed by morning, but still no luck. I told the front desk again and got no response at all. The bathroom was moldy, and I felt disgusted about taking a shower 😣

We stayed one night after a long flight to get some rest, and this new hotel is very clean and conveniently close to IST airport. There’s no shuttle bus, but catching a taxi is easy and costs 700 Turkish Lira. The staff were very friendly and all spoke excellent English. The dinner menu is a bit limited, though the food is decent. I had the tasty Sultan Kebab. The free breakfast buffet was fantastic, much better than any USA Hampton.

The breakfast buffet was better in both selection and quality than at some Hiltons I’ve stayed in, and the room was huge, clean, and comfortable. I was looking for somewhere close to Istanbul airport for longer layovers, and as a Hilton member I usually stick with the brand. This Hampton Inn is especially good. It’s very close to the metro, which gets you to the airport or city in minutes. At check-in, Elizaveta was friendly and even offered me an upgrade because I’m a diamond member, which surprised me at a Hampton. I want to stay here again.
