Kisik Konagi

The breakfast at our home was simply perfect, with cheeses, jams, menemen (Turkish scrambled eggs), pişi (Turkish fried dough), omelets, and toast. Whenever our tea ran out, they brought more. Everything was so good, and you could tell they put care into it. Our room, T4, was huge, the beds were comfortable, the sheets and towels spotless, and hot water came straight away. Even with a small baby crying next door, the sound insulation was excellent. Waking up to birdsong is something you have to experience. We stayed on May 17th and 18th for 2 nights, and Kısık Konağı felt like our home. From the moment we arrived to when we left, Sevgi sister was understanding and Yalçın brother was lovely to talk with. And of course, there was our Lucy. Sevgi sister even brewed tea for us at 10 PM, and we were touched that our dear Yalçın truly enjoyed making our coffee. We thanked him in person, but wanted to say it here too. We can’t think of a better way to describe the stay. Thank you, Kısık Konağı family. We hope to see you again. :)

I ended up at Kısık Konak by chance during a three-day holiday, after friends invited me. It’s a family-run bed and breakfast in the upper part of Yeşilyurt village, about 10 minutes from the sea. Beaches and swimming spots are reachable by car in 10 minutes. The village itself feels nostalgic, with ceramic and olive oil shops, a historic café, and other old places worth seeing. Breakfast at Kısık was unforgettable, simply perfect. We also ate dinner at the hotel on our last day. The appetizers were incredibly tasty, and the roasted kid goat with rice pilaf completely won us over. If you stay at Kısık, I’d plan a dinner there. I’d consider returning to Kısık Konak and recommend it to everyone.

We had such a relaxing stay with our 10-month-old. The rooms were roomy and lovely, and the hotel was quiet and very clean. Set among the forest, it felt wonderfully peaceful. Breakfast was tasty, with enough variety for us. Ms. Sevgi and Mr. Yalçın made us feel like guests in their own home. This place deserves to be discovered, even if it has only a few reviews. The room cleanliness and the ready-to-light fireplace in each one stood out, along with the care taken with fire safety. Yeşilyurt Kısık Mansion is furnished with real taste, and every corner felt thoughtfully equipped. We loved breakfast with birdsong around us, and dinner while the spring rain fell outside. Sevgi Hanım and Yalçın Bey welcomed us so warmly during our short March 2025 Ramadan Bayram holiday. Many thanks to them.
