Nergiz Hotel

The location is pretty good, about a 3-minute walk from the beach and 10 minutes from the city center. The rest of our stay was not worth the money. The rooms are very small, with little storage for a longer stay: one standard wardrobe, no bedside table, and the small fridge has to serve that purpose. The only shelf is tilted, so things can fall and hit you while you sleep. There is a terrace, but strong winds made it mostly unusable. You can hear everything from other rooms because the walls are unacceptably thin. The tiny bathroom had a broken shower door and toilet brush, and the hair dryer didn't work. When we arrived, the room hadn't been cleaned, the toilet paper hadn't been changed, and it smelled strongly of cigarettes. There are only two cleaners, which seems insufficient to clean the whole hotel, even on a 24-hour shift. Rooms aren't cleaned daily automatically. You have to go to reception each day to request it; the stated reason is respecting guests' privacy, but the cleaners may not arrive until 6 or 6:30 pm, when people return from the beach and want to rest. Even after requesting service, it was uncertain whether the room would be cleaned, towels changed, toilet paper supplied or other requests handled that day. None of the staff could speak even a single word of English, except one woman at reception, whose English wasn't perfect but was enough to understand what guests were asking for. The restaurant portions were rationed too, as shown in the photo I posted.
