The staff were friendly and really helpful, and the location worked well for me. I was on my motorbike, so they opened the basement garage and let me leave my luggage on the bike, where I knew it would be safe. I'd definitely recommend staying here.

The room was clean and good, but it faced a wall, so there was no view at all, and the bathroom smelled really bad. The staff were nice and breakfast wasn't bad. You can see the hotel, but getting there by car is difficult.

I barely slept, maybe two or three hours a night. The hotel is next to a girls' student residence, with an inner courtyard and a canteen about ten feet from the windows. All night there were loud laughs, jokes and shouting from the students, and the noise is still going on as I write this. The staff at Basri Hotel seem not to have any problem with it, and even the manager appears to care more about other things than the guests. Very, very bad experience. Do not come here.

The food was nice, including dinner, and the hotel is right in the city center. The furniture and other things are old, though, and there's no gym.
