I asked clearly for a quiet room, away from elevators, stairs, and busy or noisy areas. Instead, mine was beside the elevator, with one wall facing the stairwell and another next to housekeeping, where doors slammed every morning from 7 AM. I raised it as soon as I arrived, and was told it would be quiet because the hotel was only about 30% occupied. With more than half the rooms empty, it’s hard to understand why such a simple request was ignored. That says plenty about the service. The whole hotel felt noisy and far from relaxing, with loud music at both the pool and beach. Guests drank and smoked all day. It seemed set up for people who want to eat and drink as much as possible, rather than rest. Food quality was mediocre at best, with quantity seeming to matter more than quality. The local alcohol was cheap and endless, but tasted that way. Nonalcoholic choices were limited, the juice drinks were poor, and the coffee was some of the worst I’ve had. Decent coffee meant paying extra at the main bar, €4 for espresso and €5 for cappuccino, close to airport prices. One staff member called that normal, but it isn’t. Seaside cafés in Antalya or Kemer serve proper high-quality coffee for around €3. If you want peace, quiet, and decent quality, I strongly recommend staying elsewhere.

We went in April, right at the start of the season, when the hotel was still using its “winter concept.” Evening shows and children’s activities with animators don’t begin until May. It was very quiet, and seemed better suited to older guests or families who just want peace. You get what you pay for, though I’ve stayed at lower-rated hotels with much better quality. Since prices double in May, I wouldn’t recommend it unless you get a very cheap rate. Our first room clearly hadn’t been cleaned properly. The sheets and towels had been changed, but the bathroom and toilet were dirty. Instead of duvets, there were small blankets with a top cover that looked as though it had never been washed between guests. After we complained, we moved next door, where the table was sticky with marks from glasses. Cleaning seemed to mean changing towels and little else. The floor was black with dirt, and this was at the beginning of the season. For all seven days, there was a terrible sewage smell. The soundproofing was almost nonexistent, so we could hear neighbors snoring. Food queues, especially for meat, were unbelievable. It was better to come an hour after dinner started, otherwise you could be twentieth in line. You wouldn’t go hungry, but the food was repetitive and not very tasty. The hotel seemed focused on Russian tourists: staff addressed us in Russian by default, and kept doing so even when we answered in another language. The SPA felt like stepping back in time, with bad smells and everything old, dirty, and worn. The nightclub was good, though, and the local alcohol decent. It was surprising that good coffee cost extra at nearly European prices, making the “ultra all inclusive” idea feel like a joke. The beach needs work, especially the huge stones. The neighboring hotel removed its large rocks and added sand during our stay. Here, you could easily hurt your leg if you weren’t careful. You can enter the water from the pier, but that isn’t the same as a proper beach. One thing we appreciated was being relatively close to the airport.

Selchukhan Hotel was a clean, beautiful, and genuinely welcoming place. Our stay from October 6th to October 13th, 2025 was wonderful. We were kindly allowed to check in two hours early, and our room was clean and ready. Housekeeping, dining, and bar service were all impeccable, and every staff member was friendly and helpful. The organization and logistics were well thought out, making the holiday smooth and enjoyable. A special thank you to our local guide Fazl, hopefully I’ve spelled the name correctly. Our excursions to Demre, Myra, and Kekova were memorable and meaningful. We warmly recommend the hotel to anyone looking for genuine hospitality and excellent service in Turkey.

We stayed with our family and were very pleased. The hotel is cozy and beautiful, with a great location and well-kept grounds, just right for a relaxing break. The food was delicious and varied, so everyone could find something they liked. Cem and his brother, Yeliz, and the two women working the pool bar during the day, whose names we don’t know, deserve a special mention. They were all incredibly kind and sincere. We have only praise for them, and would gladly come back. Highly recommend!

The evening shows were really interesting, the kids’ club mini-disco and its animators were great, and morning yoga was excellent. The gym equipment was nice, and there were SPA options too. The massage and hamam were great. Special thanks to Yeliz and Samet, who were attentive and helpful and made our stay much brighter. Yeliz would offer help without being asked. They deserve recognition for how they work with guests. The food was tasty and varied, and you could eat pretty much all the time. The location was good, with a supermarket and local markets nearby. But room Wi-Fi was practically nonexistent and worked properly only in the main lobby. The hotel also didn’t fully consider children’s needs: sinks and soap were too high for a child to reach, both in rooms and public restrooms. Small step stools would help. I wouldn’t call it ultra-inclusive. Ice cream was served only at set times, one per person, and drinks meant going to different bars because each had its own schedule. The pool closed at 19:00, but cleaning began at 18:30, which made it feel like guests were being pushed out. Entertainment was a little disappointing. The entertainers blamed the lack of activities on low numbers or interest, and there were no invitations to join anything until I asked personally. That wasn’t like other hotels I’ve stayed at.
