Serhan Hotel

The food was delicious, quite sweet, and served in huge portions. They even brought it right to our room. The staff were friendly and very good, and we’re especially grateful to Mr. Namik for the lovely time and great conversations. We’ll definitely be back!

We arrived on 24 September for a two-week holiday and found the room pretty grotty. Once the toilet seat was repaired and a few light bulbs were replaced, it seemed acceptable. Breakfast was rubbish and hardly worth getting up for. A couple of days in, we counted the money in the room safe and found about £500 missing. We reported it to the manager, who said only we had a key. We said someone must have had access and taken the money. He defended the cleaner, saying she’d worked for him for 20 years and wouldn’t risk her job. There was a security camera outside our room, but the manager told us it wasn’t working. We asked for the police. They came in and looked at the safe, then said they could return for fingerprints if we went to Bodrum police station to make an official report. We decided against it because we didn’t think it would help, and the cleaner always wore gloves because of covid-19. How convenient. Our holiday insurance couldn’t reimburse us because we had no proof of what was in the safe or evidence of the cash withdrawal and exchange. Marie, our Jet2holidays rep, was great. She took a full report and arranged for us to move to the Serpina, which felt like paradise compared with Serhan. Avoid this hotel. It’s a dump, and we believe there’s a thief among the staff.

Great location, and the management and staff were all kind, helpful, and lovely to deal with. Amazing hotel. Thanks, and see you next June.
