Gezievi Pension

The owners are a really sweet family. We arrived well before check-in, but they took us right to our room because they could see we were tired from the journey. The location, breakfast, and room cleaning were all ideal. Thanks so much for everything.

After a day enjoying Bozcaada, it was so peaceful to come back and relax here in the evening. The rooms were very clean, and the owners were attentive. Ayşe makes delicious pastries for breakfast. I loved the place, especially for the price, and I won’t stay anywhere else in Bozcaada now.

It’s a friendly, caring family-run place, and the breakfasts were delicious. Ayşe’s homemade dishes and variety of jams were a real treat. Sabahattin and his wife were so attentive, helping us from the minute we arrived with practical information about what was available, which places were convenient, and things to do. The location worked well for a family holiday: close enough to walk to the center, but away from the noise and crowds. Anyone wanting a lovely family stay could choose this place.

Mr. Sebahattin, the hostel owner, treated us so badly that I think his tourism license should be revoked. He clearly isn’t suited to hospitality. I’ve stayed at around 20 hostels, and every one of them invited us to breakfast when we arrived, even if it wasn’t included. He refused to let us have breakfast here, even when we offered to pay. My friend, a financial inspector, and my colleagues from a corporate office had come from Istanbul. He wouldn’t even let us leave two small bags in our room for two or three hours. He treated the girls so poorly that we felt like jackals who were going to stay in the room. They were embarrassed, and so were we. May God keep us from ever meeting them again. We’d brought these friends to his hotel, and he assumed they were looking for somewhere to stay. He then said we could leave our luggage until they found a place. This level of service isn’t for everyone. I can say it over and over, it just isn’t worth it.
