The bed was especially comfortable, and the room was clean and tidy. I slept really well. This is a cozy little family-run hotel in a convenient spot, close to the Grand Mosque and Tophane park, and it’s very budget-friendly. I booked a night on Otelz. The elderly receptionist was there when I arrived and didn't speak English, but he got in touch with the younger owner, who speaks fluent English, and helped arrange my check-in.
The owner was kind and welcoming, and our bed was comfortable. The room matched what the website described. It’s on a quiet street, about a two-minute walk from Ulu Cami and the bazaars. A fine little budget hotel.
The main entrance gets locked when the older man in charge goes to bed around 11, so you're expected back by then. That was the most ridiculous hotel rule I've seen. The place is traditional, nicely located, and very economical, but the shower and toilet are shared with other guests. There’s no AC or fan, only large windows, which is a problem in summer.
It’s affordable, clean, and quiet, with a friendly, comfortable feel that reminded me of staying at my grandparents’ place. This family-run Otel has Ottoman style. Perfect for the price, and I’d recommend it, especially if you’re on a budget.
The service was very bad. They'd say okay and then do nothing. It was 6 Celsius and we were freezing with children who were getting sick, but they refused to turn on the heaters.
