The hotel’s central location was a plus, and our room had a spacious bedroom and a separate lounge and kitchen. Those were the only good parts of our stay in May 2019. The room was filthy, with thick dust on every surface and a hob dirty from cooking. The fridge smelled so bad I nearly vomited. Worst was the bathroom: brown dirt in the toilet and a smell that spread through the room. We arrived late, so reception said nothing could be done that evening and promised a cleaner the next day. We were out all day, and on our return the receptionist said the room had been cleaned. It hadn’t. After I reported it, we were offered another room. That one was very dirty too, but at least its toilet didn’t have brown dirt, so we moved. A cleaner came the following day but didn’t clean anything; the obvious grime was still there. The AC ran but didn’t cool the room, and the heat made sleeping difficult. We kept the windows shut because of noise from the food place downstairs. Wires hung from the walls, the room Wi-Fi was only 4Mbps, and the hotel had no lifts. The corridor carpets were badly stained and grimy. On the third day, a Serbian woman who’d lived in Bursa for 20 years asked if the hotel was clean. When I said no, she said hotels in Bursa have cleanliness problems. It’s sad, because Bursa is a lovely city with great food, good bazaars and many quality shops selling beautiful Bursa silk. This hotel made our visit so unpleasant that we’re unlikely to return.

The apartment itself was wonderful: I had it to myself, with a kitchen, a broad terrace and a moderate, wide view. It was in a great spot near the old Textile Bazar and other shops, and the bathroom was very nice. Still, I felt confused about the stay because the whole four-floor building smelled of cigarette smoke and other odors. Even opening the windows didn’t make it go away.

Cooking for yourself is an option, and the prices are affordable. I found the place beautiful and welcoming, with clean rooms that were spacious enough. I’d love to visit again and again. Much love from Africa 🙏😘😘

It’s right in central Bursa, which makes this service apartment a good option for travelers. I stayed one night and found it comfortable, though the Wi-Fi was a little poor.
